I bought your product as an alternative to carrying around a sharp razor. Pros: it actually works. The friction and micro crystals exfoliate your skin and remove the hair. Cons: using the suggested technique of gentle circular motion, it took about 20 minutes to do one lower leg from the knee down. My skin is now very dry and has skin flakes. Just like if you were sanding a piece of wood. I dare not to put lotion on it, because it will most definitely burn like 50 shades of hell. So if you are a patient person with extra time, thus product be for you.So after reading the reviews, I was really excited to try this product. I listened to the people who had tried it previously and did as instructed, used it in the shower making sure my legs and the crystal was wet. I have to admit, I was pretty shocked at how smooth my legs turned out. It really does work! I’m going to give you some tips, however, that I wish had been provided to me so I didn’t have to learn them the hard way.1. You do not have to press hard or “scrub” your legs to get the hair off. I think I’ve scrubbed off about 3 layers of skin along with the hair.2. Instructions (or other reviews?) say to put lotion on immediately after you use it. What everyone failed to include is that said lotion should have a cooling agent, because DEAR GOD IT BURNS LIKE THE 7 FIERY RINGS OF HELL IF YOU DON’T!Lastly…and this is so important…DO NOT…UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES…use this product on “sensitive areas” unless you want to feel like you’ve just tried to spread your legs and get intimate directly with the sun. Lotion in this area? Oh it just makes the burning worse! It’s like trying to end the spiciness of wasabi with water…Bottom line, great product. Just be sure to heed my warnings before you try this at homeFirst, don’t use this in the shower. It won’t work. I took a shower first, then when my legs were still wet outside the shower I used it. Use it in a circle. You don’t have to rub too hard and if you do it will irritate your skin. Rub off excess hair with a warm wash cloth. Right away it will start to burn, so put on some shea butter lotion. By no means will this replace a razor. I still have small patches of hair but you can’t see them too much. I have it 3 stars bc I was hoping for a razor replacement and something I could use in the shower. However my legs do feel very smooth.This is a fantastic exfoliator. It definitely can take a layer of skin off but leaves behind incredibly smooth skin. The only hair it really removed was long, fine arm hair that had never been shaven. It did not work well on leg hair. I think it works better dry but I did try it wet as well. It removes calluses, dry dead skin and little bumps. I do recommend using a soothing aloe lotion after first use. Even if you don’t rub hard, your skin will still burn from the friction.This thing really does what it says it does! It removed my hair, it didn't overexfoliate. Truth be told, I was a bit worried that it may work like exfoliation which I think it kind of does BUT my skin was not raw or sensitive. I only used it on my legs and part of my arm. My arm now looks a bit funny... but at least I'm not bleeding like I would've been if I shaved it. I usually nick myself at least once. It is a bit time consuming but I recommend rubbing it in circles on your skin. It looks like it doesn't work at first but then you notice clumps of hair! My hair is fine and thin and it worked well on it.I did it in the shower almost towards the end because I forgot I even had this thing until then. I highly recommend using it AFTER your body has been showered or soaked in warm water.Seriously though - the claim that it is pain free is the truth! No waxing or shaving... again, it is a bit time consuming but I think it's great to use regularly to keep your body hair at bay. I only used it on my arms and legs and so far it works! :)Let me start off by saying that, of course, everyone is buying this exact product because of the price compared to the on brand ones. However, that should not discourage you. I was totally blown away by the results that this device gave me. IT WORKS. I thought it wouldn’t, because I am a person with thicker hair. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The only reason it does not have 5 stars is because of the slight rash it left behind (which I’m sure will go away in a few days). This also may be due to the fact that I have sensitive skin.Some tips:Don’t rub in circles, do an up and down motion instead.Wet the device before use. It works while dry, but it is more painless when wet.ANYWAY ENJOY. IT GIVES YOU MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR.It works, but it takes ages to use. The good: you can sit and do this while you watch TV. The bad: you'll probably miss a spot and you'll get bored of doing it before you're done. I can see how it would be good for some people, not sure yet if it's for me.This works in concept, but you have to rub your skin raw in the process. It takes much longer than normal shaving, and I kept having to clean the scraper off because I had put lotion on earlier in the day. I really wanted this to be a win, but I’ll stick to my razor and shaving cream.
